Congress has demanded instant arrest of Ramvilas Vedanti who is an escapist in police record. “Vedanti is a fake saint and has rather tried to disturb peace and tranquility of the state by giving objectionable statement against Congress chief Sonia Gandhi. The Rajim police have registered a case against him but still he is moving freely in the state and delivering discourse in Durg since January 17, 2012,” said PCC spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla on Thursday. Shukla alleged that the ruling party was protecting a criminal like Vedanti by not arresting him. “The government should quickly throw him out of state borders,” Shukla said.
