Public awareness can make city more organised: Mayor

Raipur, February 15, 2010

To turnaround our city into a clean, green and beautiful capital, we need public awareness. Whether it is a matter of frequent traffic congestions, encroachment done by shopkeepers, poor sanitation or any other civic problem, the RMC can only do better when the people will coordinate with it. After all, this city belongs to each of us and hence we should make joint effort in maintaining it. Now, if we talk about development part of the city, we desperately need a big food zone where people from all corners of the capital could gather and have fun with their families and friends. We also need an amusement park where people could relax, especially in the weekends. Further, I think that we should have one specific space in the city that could be developed as pride of Raipur. We also lack greenery in the city which can be done by massive plantation campaigns and by increasing the number of gardens. I assure the Raipurians that the RMC would let no stone unturned in developing the city into an organised capital and I hope adequate fund will flow from the government for this purpose.
