For traveling without ticket, violating other norms

Continuing its special ticket checking drive, the Raipur Railway Division imposed fine to the tune of Rs 16,463 on 94 passengers for traveling without ticket, irregular ticket and irregular luggage on Friday. The special checking team was led by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) GMS Naidu.
According to information, the checking was conducted in two sections of the division - Raipur-Durg and Dalli Rajhara-Raipur. From the two sections, Naidu and his team nabbed 46 passengers who traveling either without ticket or irregular ticket. These passengers were fined Rs 12,998.
Similarly, 47 passengers were nabbed who were carrying excessive luggage along with them which was in violation with the Railway norms. The team fined Rs 3265 on these passengers. In another case, one person was fined Rs 200 for smoking on train.
The team was comprised of one Railway Commercial Inspector Manoj Hati, nine TTE staff and five RPF personnel.
Long-distance trains via Raipur Railway Division rescheduled

In view of security reasons, the running of long-distance passenger trains on Kharagpur-Rourkela section will continue to remain suspended during night from 10 pm to 5 am. Earlier, the rescheduled train timings were supposed to be effective only till June 26, 2010, but now it has been extended till June 30, 2010 owing to security reasons, informed the Raipur Railway Division officials.
Under the list of trains rescheduled from Howrah, 2834 Howrah-Ahmedabad Express will leave Howrah at 4 am from June 28 to July 01, 2010 instead of its previous schedule of 11.55 pm from June 27 to 30, 2010. Similarly, 2906 Howrah-Porbandar Express will leave Howrah at 4.30 am on June 30 instead of 10.55 pm on June 29.
The 2102 Howrah-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Gyaneshwari Super Delux Express that was earlier scheduled to leave Howrah at 10.55 pm on June 27, 28 and 30, 2010 has been rescheduled and would now leave the Howrah at 4.30 am on June 28, 29 and July 01, 2010.
The 2810 Howrah-Mumbai Mail via Nagpur that was earlier scheduled to leave Howrah at 10.15 pm from June 27 to 30, 2010 has been rescheduled and would now leave the Howrah at 5 am from June 28 to July 01, 2010.
Similarly, the 2130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express that was earlier scheduled to leave Howrah at 9.55 pm from June 27 to 30, 2010 has been rescheduled and would now leave the Howrah at 5.30 am from June 28 to July 01, 2010.
The long-distance trains leaving Mumbai, Pune Porbandar from June 27 to 30, 2010 for Howrah via Raipur like 2101 Mumbai-Howrah Express, 2151 LTT-Howrah Samrasta Express, 2809 Mumbai-Howrah Mail, 2129 Pune-Howrah Azad hind Express and 2905 Porbandar-Howrah Express have been rescheduled and now they would leave eight hours late from their source stations.
216.20 MT rice allotted

The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department on Saturday allotted 216.20 MT rice for 152 Annapurna Dal-Bhat centres for July 2010. The department’s officials informed that the Dal-Bhat centres of Raipur district will receive 65 MT rice, Dhamtari – 9 MT, Mahasamund – 8 MT, Bilaspur 22 MT, Janjgir – 14.60 MT, Korba – 7 MT, Durg – 32 MT, Rajnandgaon – 12 MT, Kawardha – 3.50 MT, Jashpur – 9.60 MT, Sarguja – 10 MT, 3 MT each to Koria and Jagdalpur, Kanker – 10 MT, Dantewada – 2.50 MT and Bijapur – 1 MT.
State-level workshop on MIS from June 28

The government will organise eight-day state-level workshop on Management Information System (MIS) for Mahatama Gandhi national Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) from June 28 to July 5, 2010 in the capital city. According to instructions of Union Rural Development Ministry, the NREGS Commissioner K Subramanyam has asked all the Collectors, Zila Panchayat Officers to attend the workshop. He has further directed the officials to ensure that all Assistant Project Officer and data entry operators of Zila Panchayats and Janpad Panchayats should remain present in the workshop.
