Will framer strategy to
deal the problems of party’s public reps in civic bodies, panchayats
Raipur, February 04,
2012
After listening
problems of the party’s public representatives from civic bodies and panchayats
on January 3, the Congress leadership will now frame strategy to help them
using their constitutional rights by launching offensive against the
government. The initial strategy will be prepared by party general secretaries
at Congress Bhawan on January 6. They will also discuss as to how the public
representatives could intensify party activities in their respective areas as a
preparation of party’s mission 2013 and 2014.
The state unit
president Nandkumar Patel has given the responsibility of preparing report of
party’s January 3 meeting to Raipur Mayor Kiranmayi Nayak, Bilaspur Mayor Vani
Rao and PCC’s chief spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi. According to
information, the general secretaries will chalk out plan on the basis of the
report submitted by the trio.
The Congress blames
that the BJP government was politicising developmental factor and purposely
stalling the funds meant for Congress-ruled civic bodies and panchayats.
The party thinks that
despite government’s partial attitude towards its public representatives, it
has succeeded in upholding its popularity in urban areas and only needs to work
as a consolidated unit.
Notably, the agenda of
the party leadership for interaction with public representatives on January 3
was to know the ground reality of their areas and about government’s attitude
towards them.
The representatives
clarified that they were facing adverse condition in their regions with
government turning its back towards them and holding all the developmental
funds. They lambasted Urban Administration Minister Rajesh Munat for
discriminating between BJP and Congress ruled civic bodies.
The party’s chief
spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi informed that the organisation and the
public representatives coordinate each other in exposing the BJP government’s
anti-people and anti-poor face.
