The Youth Congress (YC) has alleged that an Industrial
Training Institute (ITI), based at Saddu and operated under public-private
partnership system, was exploiting its students by not returning excess fees
taken by them. “About 80 students along with the YC members had gheraoed the
institute’s CEO Shailendra Mishra on February 15, 2012 and demanded to quickly
return the excess fees. Mishra had assured that all the students would get
their additional fee amount in ten days. But for the past couple of days his
office as well as ITI principal TR Dewangan’s office are locked,” said the YC’s
Raipur Lok Sabha general secretary Pankaj Mishra. He warned the institute of
launching aggressive agitation if the students would not get back their
additional fee amount.
