The Congress has alleged that the government was
playing with the future of youth by first creating posts and then stalling the
shortlisting procedures.
The DCC Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal
informed that the Directorate Employment and Training had published
advertisement back in September 1, 2010 seeking applications for 723 vacant
posts of trainer grade-3 in government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
“About 20000 candidates had submitted forms along with
demand draft (DD) of Rs 400 each. But even after 18 months, the directorate has
neither done shortlisting of the candidates nor have invited anyone for the
interview. While, when the candidates try to seek information regarding
interview from directorate or any of the ITIs, they get unsatisfactory reply,”
Dhariwal said.
To address the problem of the candidates who have
filled forms for the ITI posts, the applicants led by Chatr Sangharsh Parishad
(CSP) president Hiramani Dewangan and Dhariwal reached directorate office on
Thursday and submitted a memorandum to director Ranjana Katakwar warning her of
gheraoing Chief Minister’s house if the interviews would not be conducted in
next 15 days.
The Congress workers who accompanied Dhariwal and the
candidates were Shiekh Shakeel, Sunil Singh Thakur, Ranjeet Bindra, Vimal
Christian, Nandan Jha, Achit Sindhe ,
AK Singh, Ramesh Kumar, Hitendra
Sahu, Prakash Ramteke, etc.
