The Youth Congress (YC) members on Friday demonstrated at Government Dental College and Hospital alleging that the patients belonging to BPL families do not get proper treatment there. The YC members also sloganeered against the hospital administration and Health Minister Amar Agrawal. Later, they submitted a memorandum to college principal Vishwajeet Mishra pertaining to their complaint.
The president of YC’s Raipur North Vidhan Sabha Sunil Kukreja urged Mishra to ensure provision of medicines to the poor people who come to hospital for treatment.
“The patients, who are financially weak, could not afford expensive medicines. Hence, they get free medicine during treatment at government hospitals. But, at Dental College and Hospital, the poor patients never get medicines and are rather asked to buy them from outside,” Kukreja said.
He informed that Mishra had assured the YC of improving the facilities for poor patients soon. The YC members who accompanied Kukreja were Soma Thakur, Shashi Sahu, Kushal Goswami, Hira Nagrachi, Amitesh Bhardwaj, Kamran Ansari, Sonu Ekansh Sharma, Himanshu Shekhar, etc.
