Cong to make 13-point demand to Railway Minister

Congress will make 10-point demand to Union Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi by giving him a memorandum during his maiden state visit on February 8.
The DCC Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal and incharge general secretary Dr Niranjan Haritwal jointly informed that through memorandum the party would seek expansion in rail services in the state and increase in the frequencies of long-distance trains.
The party will demand rail services like provision of new train from Bilaspur to Nagpur. “We will demand provision of chair car train from Bilaspur to Nagpur. From Bilaspur, the train should depart at morning. Similarly, from Nagpur, the train must depart at evening,” Dhariwal said.
The Congress will further demand from the minister to quickly provide escalator at Raipur Railway station so that the old and disabled passengers could conveniently go from platform number 1 to other platforms.
The party will demand increase in frequency (in a week) of the trains – Korba- Thiruvananthapuram superfast express from two days to five days, Durg-Jaipur train to five days, Hawrah-Mumbai Duranto express from one day to three days, Hawrah-Shirdi express to three days, Puri-Jodhpur express from one day to five days, Hatiya-Pune express from two days to four days, Bilaspur-Chnnei express to three days, Korba-Yashwantpur express to five days, Hawrah-Porbandar express from three days to five days and Nijamuddin-Durg Sampark Kranti express from three days to seven days.
