NSUI protests lab fee charged by college

NUSI on Monday protested laboratory fee charged by Vivekanand College at Bhansoj (Mandir Hasaud) from 150 students terming it illegal and demanded from Pt Ravishankar Shukla University’s (RSU) vice chancellor Professor SK Pandey to quickly ask the college administration to return the fee amount to the students. “The college has charged Rs 400 each from the students to appear in the final practical examination on February 26. We have informed about this to the varsity’s students’ welfare officer VK Pandey on the same day but the RSU administration did not take stern action against Vivekanand college,” said former NSUI president Sanjeev Shukla and organisation’s Raipur district president Pradeep Sahu. The NSUI members also lodged its protest before the vice chancellor at the varsity campus and warned of sitting on hunger strike if the lab fee of the students would not be returned. On the occasion were present Vipin Mishra, Raja Kumar, Khileshwar Dewangan, Khilawan Nishad, Tilak Dewangan, Mahesh Yadav, Aniket Kumar, etc.
