The Youth Congress (YC) on Monday gheraoed
Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (CSERC) opposing proposed
30 percent hike in power tariff. The president of YC’s Raipur North Vidhan
Sabha area Sunil Kukreja said that despite protest from consumers the
government was trying to impose the hiked power tariff on them. “We have warned
the Commission of launching aggressive agitation if the power tariff would be
increased,” he said. On the occasion were present Anwar Hussein, Soma Thakur,
Sumit Sao, Shashikant, Faheem, Sewak Mahanand, Rafeeq Khan, Kamran Ansari,
Kushal Goswami, etc.
