Former Union Minister
Vidyacharan Shukla is planning to resurrect his non-political organisation -
Chhattisgarh Sangharsh Parishad (CSP) after its long dormancy. In this
connection, he will convene meeting of the parishad members at Shukla Bhawan
Budhapara at 3 pm on Sunday. The agenda of the meeting is to reorganise
parishad elections and chalk out strategy to raise public issues through
agitations in future.
Notably, Shukla is
patron of CSP. He had formed the parishad before the constitution of
Chhattisgarh state. Initially, the objective of the parishad was to demand for
separate Chhattisgarh state. Later, the CSP also launched movements in favour
of public.
The parishad is out of
limelight for the past several years, but now Shukla wants to revive it.
According to information, Shukla aims to raise all the major issues related to
public, especially farmers under the banner of CSP.
At present, the
president of CSP is Mahasamund’s ex-legislator Santosh Agrawal. He has
expressed his inability to hold the responsibility of CSS head due to his age
factor. Hence, Shukla has hinted the parishad members that new president and
office-bearers would be elected on Sunday meeting.
