The two-day 14th Research Advisory Committee (RAC) for phytology will begin at Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (RSU) on February 13. Notably, the RAC has been constituted by National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC) New Delhi
The programme coordinator from RSU’s biology department Dr Subhash Naithani informed that the meeting would be attended by renowned phytological experts from different parts of the country. “These experts will not only discuss on the research projects of several research scholars, but also scrutinise the achievements of the recommended research projects,” he said.
The meeting would be attended by Professor AK Tyagi from National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) New Delhi, Dr VS Rao from Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, Professor RR Rao from Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Bangalore, Professor LC Rai from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Professor AS Raghvendra from Hyderabad University, Professor SK Sharma from Palampur Agriculture University, Dr Banwari Lal from The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) New Delhi, Dr Bhushan Jalali from Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) Faridabad, Professor SP Singh from Planning Commission Dehradoon, professor Sumita Jha from Calcutta University and Dr Vonod Kumar from National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC) New Delhi.
