YC against govt’s plan to bring power selling proposal

Raipur, February 24, 2012

Opposing government’s plan to bring proposal to sell electricity to the other states, Youth Congress (YC) burnt an effigy of ruling BJP at dharna spot near Sports Complex Budhapara on Friday.
The YC’s Raipur North Vidhan Sabha general secretary Dilip Singh Chouhan said that the government had no right to sell electricity to the other states without ensuring provision of full-time power to people of Chhattisgarh at low rates.
“Ironically, the ruling party projects Chhattisgarh as electricity surplus state in the country but simultaneously plans to hike power tariff. This is injustice to the people,” he said.
On the occasion were present Shiekh Shakeel, Bakar Abbas, Mohammad Azhar, Bablu Raza, Azhar Rahman, Niyaz, Anil Yadav, Prakash Ramteke, Akhilesh Joshi, Imran, Mukesh Kurre, Nemi Lahre, Jishant, Ujjwal, Gaurav, Harish Santwani, etc.
