Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ajit
Jogi has hailed the stay order by High Court on land acquisitions by state
government for Naya Raipur. “The land acquisition procedure was wrong. The government
has acquired lands from 5000 farmers from 30 villages,” Jogi said. He alleged
that the government had given asylum to the land, liquor and mining mafias who
were using threatening means to compel the farmers to sell their lands at low
rates.
