Fake marksheet racket active in CGBSE: YC

Raipur, February 21, 2012

In wake of one student getting marksheet with first class marks without appearing in exams, the Youth Congress (YC) on Tuesday said that fake marksheet racket was active in Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE).
“The students are shocked by this incident. The board is certainly playing with the future of the students who do hard work round the year but many unknown students get first class marks without appearing in the exam,” said Raipur South Vidhan Sabha area general secretary Sandeep Tiwari.
“It was really an embarrassing incident for the board which gave marksheet to one Pranjal Thakur who had neither filled the exam form nor appeared in the exams. Ironically, Thakur got first division. This is not the first mistake of the board as it is habitual of committing similar blunders. However, no action has been taken against the guilty people by far,” he said.
Tiwari doubted that there could be many more students who would have obtained marksheets without appearing in exams. He demanded from the board to register criminal case against the guilty people.
He further demanded inquiry into the fake marksheet matter and warned of locking the board if similar incident would occur in future.
