Congress has warned Technical Education Department of
gheraoing Chief Minister Raman Singh’s residence if it would not hold interview
for vacant posts in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in next fifteen days.
In this connection, the Congress members led by DCC
Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal submitted a memorandum to Secretary
Technical Education Nidhi Chhibbar on Saturday.
“Chhibbar has given us assurance that her department
would surely try to fill the vacant posts as soon as possible but if the
procedures would be stalled beyond 15 days then we would be compelled to
demonstrate along with candidates before the CM house,” Dhariwal said.
Notably, the Directorate Employment and Training had
published advertisement back in September 1, 2010 seeking applications for 723
vacant posts of trainer grade-3 in government Industrial Training Institutes
(ITIs). To appear in the interview, about 20000 candidates have submitted forms
along with demand draft (DD) of Rs 400 each.
“But even after 18 months, the directorate has not
taken any step in favour of the candidates,” Dhariwal said.
The Congress workers who accompanied Dhariwal while
submitting the memorandum to Chhibbar were Shiekh Shakeel, Prakash Ramteke
along with Shikshit Berojgar Sangh’s Rajkumar Sahu, Vishnu Yadav, Surendra
Sahu, Sumit Thakur and Rajsh Thakur.
