PCC president Nandkumar Patel will convene meeting of party’s public representatives of civic bodies and panchayats at Congress Bhawan on Monday. The meeting will also be attended by CLP leader Ravindra Choubey and party general secretaries who simultaneously hold Lok Sabha incharge seats. The meeting is likely to be uproarious as the public representatives would not only inform the party leadership about the problems they are facing due to biased attitude of the government towards their areas, but also seek coordination from the organisation.
Notably, the Congress public representatives of civic bodies and panchayats always complain that the government ignores their regions as they belong to opposition party. Besides, they are also irked with their critics in the party who rather tarnish their image in public either by giving controversial statements or finding faults in their works. The most annoyed lot is mayors of Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg and Rajnandgaon who complain that they had to frequently face resistance from own partymen.
In the meeting, Patel and Choubey will further seek inputs from the public representatives regarding consolidation of the party considering its mission 2013 agenda.
