Govt not serious on PSGA: Congress

Raipur, February 11, 2012

Congress on Saturday alleged that the government was not serious in implementing Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA). “The government has become habitual of making Acts and forgetting them. The PSGA came into existence about a month back but none of the government departments have shown interest in implementing it. This proves that the government wanted to take political mileage through PSGA,” said PCC spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla.
“The state administration had notified almost all the departments to publish targeted time of the works being carried out under them in gazette, but majority have not even commenced the initial formalities in this connection. It seems the departments are least bothered about PSGA,” Shukla said.
“The government had claimed that the common people would get rid of inconvenience they face to get their works done with the effective implementation of PSGA. But the government departments have not yet informed about Act to the district and tehsil units. In this scenario, government staffers would continue to harass the common people,” Shukla added.
