Tribal Development Minister Kedar Kashyap has informed that eight persons obtained government job by producing fake caste certificates. Kashyap’s information came in the form of a written reply to a question of BJP legislator Devji Bhai Patel during monsoon session of state Assembly on Thursday.
He informed that all the eight persons got job in state Secretariat. On scrutinisation, the certificates of these persons were found fake, he said. While two of the eight have been terminated, the cases of some are pending in the court and the certificates of remaining are being scrutinised again after court order, he added.
The suspended employees are steno typists Purushottam Patwar and Rajesh Livingstone. The cases of assistant grade-2 Rajendra Kumar Sonkusle and assistant grade-1 Hemlata Ekka are pending with the court.
In case of personal secretary Rajesh Ahire and personal assistant Bhuwan Dekate, the High Court has given order to re-examine his certificates.
Similarly, scrutiny committee’s probe report into personal assistant Dhannudas Burde was quashed by the High Court. In case of assistant grade-2 Praveen Kumar Nimje, the scrutiny committee re-examined his certificates after High court order and the action of termination is yet to be taken against him.
9.11% of budget spent in first two months
Chief Minister Raman Singh informed the House that the government had spent about 9.11 percent of the budget 2012-13 in first two months. He gave this information in a written reply to a question of Congress MLA Paresh Bagbahra.
Singh said according to Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) the government had spent Rs 3614.07 crore which is 9.11 percent of the annual budget.
He informed that 1584.79 percent has been spent under different schemes while the remaining 2029.28 crore has been spent in other works.
He said the fund proportion of Union and state governments differs according to Central schemes.
Over Rs 4.28 crore spent on copter rent
The government has spent over Rs 4.28 crore in hiring helicopter from different aviation companies in one year. The information was provided by the CM in the House in written to a question of Congress legislator Dr Premsai Singh Tekam.
The CM informed that the government hired copters for 19 times amidst April 1, 2011 to June 20, 2012. The copters were used by the CM, state ministers and Union ministers. The rent of copters paid during this period is more than Rs 4.28 crore, the CM said.
