Protesting toll plaza construction near
Sundar Nagar at Ring Road No 1, a delegation of Congress members submitted a
memorandum to PWD Minister Brijmohan Agrawal’s father Ramlal Agrawal at his
residence on Thursday.
“The toll plaza is being constructed in the area that
falls under the minister’s Assembly constituency. We requested to him several
times to ask the implementing agency to shift the toll plaza out of municipal
limits but he refused. Considering his obstinacy, we decided to talk to his
father into this matter,” said DCC Raipur Urban President Inderchand Dhariwal.
“The reason behind handing over memorandum to the
minister’s father is the Chief Minister Raman Singh’s recent remark in which he
said the parents are responsible for their children’s mistake,” he added.
The delegation was comprised of Kanhaiyya Agrawal,
Madanlal Taleda, Nischay Bajpayee, Sheikh Shakeel, Dinesh Tiwari, Ashok
Agrawal, Ashok Shivhare, Atul Raghuvanshi, Satnam Singh Panag, Mahavir
Dewangan, Santosh Tiwari, Jagdish Ahuja, Samir Akhtar, etc.
