Senior Congress MLA Ajit Jogi on Tuesday
said that the ruling BJP government is corrupt and its days are numbered.
“Corruption has become malady in every department in
last eight years and it happened because the government did not take action
against corrupt officials. The level of corruption in state could be gauged
through the raids conducted by CBI, ACB and Income tax department in the recent
past. The people of Chhattisgarh will surely teach lesson to the BJP in next
Vidhan Sabha polls,” he said.
He alleged that the government deceive people by
suspending officials facing charges of grafts and reinstate them after
sometime. “In fact, the government even gives promotion to the corrupt
officials after reinstating them. This encourages other officials to do
irregularities,” he said.
He regretted that the government had never posed
seriousness in framing strict rules to curb graft cases.
