Cong to Collector: Stop black marketing of LPG

Raipur, July, 10, 2012

Congress has demanded from Collector Dr Rohit Yadav to curb black marketing of domestic LPG. In this connection, the DCC spokesperson Shiekh Shakeel and other party workers submitted a memorandum to Yadav at Collectorate on Tuesday.
Shakeel said gas agencies were deliberately creating crisis of LPG cylinders and harassing the consumers. “Besides, black marketing of domestic LPG cylinders is on rise under the nose of district administration but no action has been taken against guilty people by far,” he said.
He further demanded from Collector to increase monthly quota of sugar and kerosene of ration cardholders.
“Presently, a ration cardholder gets 1.3 kg sugar and one litre kerosene every month. But during festival season, the consumption of sugar and kerosene increases. Hence, the administration should increase the quota of sugar to 5 kg and kerosene to 5 litre,” he said.
