State Congress has started preparations to welcome the party-led UPA presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee on July 11. In this connection, the party has prepared Mukherjee’s programme schedule and forwarded to national leadership for approval.
Notably, Mukherjee will meet Congress and BSP legislators at a VIP road-based hotel. He will reach Raipur at 3 pm. According to information, he is scheduled to interact with the MLAs for about an hour.
PCC president Nandkumar Patel has already instructed all 38 party MLAs to reach Raipur on July 11. The state Congress has also invited the two BSP MLAs as Mayawati’s party has announced to support Mukherjee in presidential polls.
During Mukherjee’s programme, AICC treasurer Motilal Vora, AICC general secretary and state unit incharge BK Hariprasada, CLP leader Ravindra Choubey, senior leaders Vidyacharan Shukla and Ajit Jogi will remain present.
The party leadership has also invited all the senior tribal leaders to attend Mukherjee’s programme.
