Congress to bring adjournment motion in VS on 16th


On Uterus removal cases

Congress will bring adjournment motion in state Assembly on uterus removal cases on July 16. A decision in this regard was taken by the Congress legislators during a meeting at the residence of CLP leader Ravindra Choubey on Thursday.
Considering supplementary budget to be tabled in the House on Friday and the following two days, i.e. Saturday (July 14) and Sunday (July 15), the opposition decided to gherao the ruling party on July 16 in uterus removal cases and misuse of mart card scheme under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).
The party claims that the Centrally-sponsored health schemes are not being implemented effectively in the state and will seek explanation from the government in the House.
In the meeting, the legislators also discussed over grilling the government on the issues like police-naxal encounter in Basaguda-Korsaguda in Bijapur district, power tariff hike and inordinate power bills, coal block allocation, paddy being stocked in open during rains, black marketing of fertilisers and seeds, etc.
The CLP meeting held for about 90 minutes and was attended by 27 legislators including PCC president Nandkumar Patel.
