Cong to agitate against power tariff hike


Raipur, July 12, 2012

The Congress has decided to launch aggressive protest movement against power tariff hike in the state. The movement will be launched at block-level. A decision in this regard was taken during the first meeting of DCC Raipur Rural executive body that held at Congress Bhawan on Thursday.
Addressing the workers, senior Congress leader Satyanarayan Sharma said they should build their unique identity. He advised the Congmen not to attend BJP’s programmes and follow guidelines of the senior leadership.
Former PCC president Dhanendra Sahu urged the workers to put aside factionalism and strengthen the party.
The PCC general secretary and party’s Raipur Lok Sabha incharge Devvrat Singh emphasised on launching series of movements against ruling BJP. He said strategies could be framed by conducting regular monthly meetings at district and block levels.
The meeting was attended by DCC Raipur Rural president Pankaj Sharma, Kshatrapal Sirmour, Anjay Shukla, Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Chandrashekhar Yadav, Chhaya Verma, Bhojkumari Yadu, Om Goyal, Ajay Kshatre, Ratiram Sahu, Vikas Dubey, Iqbal Quraishi, Motilal Hinduja, Gopal Tiwari, Devnath Sahu, Mahesh Sharma,  Gangadhar Gilhare, Sharda Verma, Juga Bai, Dehuti Sahu, Pushpa Banjare, Laxmi Dhruv, etc.
