The members of Youth Congress (YC) and NSUI have condemned police action against their fellow members when they staged dharna demanding rollback in hiked power tariff in Kawardha on Tuesday.
The YC and NSUI have also demanded suspension of TI Sanjay Pakhile for abusing and slapping former district panchayat president from Congress Agamdas Anant who too had participated in the dharna.
“Anant is a public figure in the region. His wife is nagar panchayat president. The police action against him proves that the BJP government had grudges against the duo. The TI himself slapped Anant. We want TI’s suspension and if he would not be removed in two days they them we would launch state-wide agitation against the government,” said the YC’s Raipur Lok Sabha president Vinod Tiwari and NSUI’s Raipur district president Pradeep Sahu.
