Government on Wednesday approved Rs 13.54 crore for Paunsri-Tulsi anicut in Bemetara district and Hanoda stopdam in Durg district. The Water Resources Department (WRD) has issued a directive in this regard from Secretariat. The officials informed that while Rs 10.17 crore had been approved for anicut construction, the stopdam would be built at the cost of Rs 3.37 crore. The two projects would increase irrigation facilities in about 97 hectare lands, they said.
