The National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL) will provide five-day free-of-cost coaching workshop to 25 candidates who have selected Sindhi as one of the subjects in UPSC main exams. “The coaching will be imparted from July 27-31 at Delhi University (DU),” informed vice chairman of council Ramesh Warlyani on Wednesday.
“All the 25 candidates belong to Sindhi community and they have successfully cleared UPSC preliminary exams. Now, when they have picked Sindhi subject in the main exam, we have decided to provide them full support in terms of coaching workshop. We have taken this initiative to encourage Sindhi students to prefer Sindhi medium to appear in the civic services exams,” Warlyani elaborated.
He informed that majority of the youngsters in Sindhi community were unaware that Sindhi is one of the mediums to appear in UPSC exams.
“Hence, we conducted seminars in Bhopal, Ajmer, Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Kanpur and appealed to the young generation of Sindhi community to prepare for civil services exams in Sindhi language,” he said.
The coaching workshop at DU will be coordinated by Dr Raviprakash Tekchandani and lodging arrangement would be done by Indar Gunani. The experts who will impart coaching will be Dr MK Jaitley, Dr Baldev Matlani, Dr Haso Dadlani, Dr Kamla Goklani, Hero Thakur and NCPSL director Nirmal Goplani.
Warlyani informed that the Sindhi subject coaching workshop facility at DU would be provided every year to the civil services candidates. He will formally inaugurate the coaching workshop at DU at 11 am on July 27. The chief guest on the occasion would be chief security commissioner of Railways Rajaram Bhagwani.
