Devendra Yadav resigns from NSUI prez post

Claiming to come clean of controversial CD row, NSUI state president Devendra Yadav on Friday tendered his resignation to the organisation’s national head Rohit Choudhary. Interacting with the media persons at Congress Bhawan, Yadav said he would prefer working as a worker in the organisation till probe report into the CD row proves him innocent.

He said the people who conspired against him would themselves be trapped in the coming days. “The masterminds behind the controversial CD would soon be trapped and it is only a matter of time,” he said.

“Everything will be crystal clear after the probe. I have told my side of the story to my national president and he looked convinced. He even asked me to continue my profile as a state head but I am tendering my resignation because my organisation’s image is being tainted due to the CD row,” he clarified.

He also extended his full support in probe. “Let the investigating panel conduct my narco test. I would also urge it to conduct similar test on Firoz Siddiqui who falsely alleges of exposing me through sting operation. Let others conspirators too be tested on same scale,” he added.

He charged that Siddiqui was himself a blackmailer and accused under section 302 of IPC.

“Even the Narula, from whom the CD claims that I have demanded fund, should undergo narco test. I reiterate that I have never contacted Narula regarding fund or any other purpose. Narula meet only those people who take prior appointment from him. In this scenario, how can I meet him directly? Of course, I know him as he being the key person of DS Vicon, a well-known construction company of Bhilai,” he said.

He repeatedly said that his opponents in the organisation were tarnishing his image. “I have worked hard for the organisation but my opponents cannot stomach it. They keep trying to conspire against me and to sully my image,” he said.

Meanwhile, Yadav’s supporters who held different posts in the organisation are planning to tender mass resignation in his favour. “Yadav is innocent and has been trapped under planned strategy. We will continue supporting him,” they said.
