Rs 32.73 cr sanctioned for library bldgs in 485 schools

State government has sanctioned Rs 32.73 crore for construction of library buildings in 485 high and higher secondary schools. The fund has been sanctioned under National Secondary Education Mission (NSEM), informed the officials of School Education department. Each library building will be constructed at the cost of Rs 6.75 lakh. The number of schools in different districts where library buildings will be constructed is – Raipur – 10 schools, Bilaspur – 20, Balod – 19, Balodabazar – 33, Balrampur – 25, Jagdalpur – 18, Bemetara – 4, Bijapur – 13, Dantewada – 13, Dhamtari – 15, Durg – 20, Gariyaband – 5, Janjgir-Champa – 24, Jashpur – 26, Kanker – 26, Kabeerdham – 10, Kondagaon – 22, Korba – 17, Koria – 19, Mahasamund – 18, Mungeli – 11, Narayanpur – 8, Raigarh – 21, Rajnandgaon – 32, Sukma – 10, Sarguja – 23 and Surajpur – 23.
