The NSUI has demanded from Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (RSU) administration to make the varsity budget available on internet. In this connection, the NSUI members led by their state vice president Lokesh Singh submitted a memorandum to the RSU vice chancellor Professor SK Pandey on Tuesday.
Singh said the budget on web would ensure the varsity administration’s transparency in its expenditures. “Our demand is in favour of the students who have every right to know how the varsity makes use of their fee. Besides, they would also know the departments in which the varsity spends funds provided by the state government,” said Singh.
He said the NSUI would make similar demands to all the universities of the state in the coming days. Earlier, the NSUI members shouted slogans before the varsity’s administrative block when Pandey refused to meet them. However, later Pandey called the demonstrators and heard their demand.
On the occasion, Singh was accompanied by NSUI members Kamran Ansari, Kanhaiyya Sharma, Abhay Singh Thakur, Yogesh Sahu, Sonu Sahu, Atik, Sushil Sharma and other NSUI workers.
