Raipur: The Directorate of Prison Odisha and Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) have organised third All India Prison Duty Meet from February 4 to 6 at Bhuvaneshwar under the aegis of Union Home Ministry, New Delhi. As many as 27 participants from Raipur Central Jail (RCJ) left for Bhuvaneshwar on Tuesday to take part in the various competitions. A number of events including 100, 200, 400 meter race, volleyball, unarmed combat, essay writing, quiz competition, etc will be organised during this meet. The team is carrying high hopes of not only the jail department but also the state. Similarly, the Jail officials have hoped that the RCJ team would win prizes in sprint, long jump and high jump.
