Chhattisgarh will be known as power hub of the country in future. Already, it has earned a reputation of ‘state with surplus power’ and hopefully our power companies will become role model for power boards of other states. The words were expressed by Chief Minister Raman Singh while he was discussing with a delegation of Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board Engineers Association (CSEBEA) that paid him courtesy visit to express its gratitude for issuing record promotion orders for officers and employees of state’s different power companies.
Singh said the staffers of the power companies need not get concerned about their rights and benefits as the government would always take care of such things. “Even the managements of the power companies have given prime importance to the benefits of its officers and employees as a consequence of which various staff-oriented decisions have been taken,” he added.
Singh said salary revision, constitution of advisory committee, payment of dearness allowance (DA), project allowance, one advance salary increment to national-level sportspersons and different types of loan facilities to all the officials and employees were adequate indicators about government’s initiatives towards staff members of power companies.
Singh said Chhattisgarh was way ahead of other states in appointing people on compassionate ground and disbursing high pay-scale. He hoped that the officials and employees would discharge their duties with more enthusiasm to take the power companies to new heights after learning about the beneficiary steps taken by the government for them.
On the occasion, the CSEBEA delegation requested to CM to allot government lands to the staffers of power companies at concessional rates on which the latter assured to take necessary action in this regard after discussing about it with the officials of Chhattisgarh Housing Board. The delegation was led by CSEBEA president PN Singh and comprised association’s general secretary Vinay Pandey, Manoj Khare, Vinod Agrawal, K Ramkrishna, Vishwas Deshmukh and MS Ratnam.
