The tableaux of Agriculture department depicting various developmental schemes during the Republic Day parade have won various awards. The department won third prize at state level for its attractive tableau at Raipur parade ground. Agriculture Production Commissioner Serjius Minj received the state level award from Governor Shekhar Dutt at an award ceremony held here at Rapiur Medical College auditorium. At district level, the department displayed tableaux on efforts of state government towards betterment of farming won first prize in Kanker, second in Mahasamund and third in Koria and Sarguja.
Congratulating the department officials for achieving awards for tableaux, Agriculture Minister Chandrashekhar Sahu said the tableaux prepared for different occasions and exhibitions based on development were strongest medium to inform people of the state as well as to national and international level tourists about government’s various schemes.
