Conference of Labour Ministers



Raipur, January 21, 2010

Labour Minister Chandrashekhar Sahu will attend the national-level conference of Labour Ministers that will be held in New Delhi on Friday. The conference will be chaired by Union Labour and Employment Minister Mallikarjun Kharge. Sahu would be demanding to open adequate number of Industrial training Institutes (ITI) in the remote areas of Chhattisgarh so that the workers could gain technical knowledge. Sahu would also be raising various significant issues like child labour laws and issues related to laborers engaged in construction works. Besides, he would request the Union Minister to expand the services like employee state insurance service and medical facilities for the labourers.
