Union Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs and state in-charge V Narayanasamy is reported to be severely upset with MLA Ramsundar Das and Mayor Kirnamayi Nayak’s recent involvement in Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) programs. The PCC put this issue before Narayanasamy after receiving clarifications from Das and Nayak on its show cause notices. Sami has indicated that such type of indulgences would not the brooked in future. According to information, the PCC will absolve both the MLA and Mayor by giving stern warning.
Notably, Congress leaders and party workers were stunned when Mayor welcomed the procession of RSS members in the capital by showering flowers on them before municipal’s headquarters at Malviya Road. The RSS procession was taken in the city during the arrival of its chief Mohan Bhagwat.
MLA Ramsundar Das gave another setback to Congress when he attended RSS supremo’s ‘samajik sadbhawna’ meeting. The party workers promptly lodged complaint against Nayak and Das to the PCC by submitting their photos and reports published in newspapers on specific programs. According to information, the issue has reached to the senior party leaders at New Delhi. Some of the PCC leaders had reportedly demanded stern action against Das and Nayak.
Narayanasamy arrived here on Sunday pertaining to review the progress of recently launched membership drive of Youth Congress (YC). When PCC office-bearers informed him about Mayor and MLA’s affinity with RSS, he said such instances should not reiterate in future. Narayanasamy said it was unfortunate that the party leaders show inclination towards other parties after winning elections and such practices should be immediately thwarted.
