Nadda warns state BJP leaders for outburst in media

Raipur, Aug 07, 2010

The BJP’s general secretary and Chhattisgarh incharge Jagat Prakash Nadda on Saturday issued a strong warning to the state party leaders for airing their grievances through media.
Talking to mediapersons at the party office on his maiden visit to the state after he was made Chhattisgarh party in-charge, Nadda said if there was any discord, the leaders were free to raise such issues in the party forum. “But expressing their differences of opinion in the media is not acceptable,” he pointed out.
When asked about reported internal bickering in the ruling party and divergent press statements, he said any member could discuss about his grievances, if any, at a party forum or directly bring it to the notice of district concerned or state party chiefs.
“I will be visiting districts soon and the party members can discuss any such issues directly with me. But raising their grievances through media is not desirable or tolerable,” the new state incharge warned.
However, Nadda denied allegations that the Raman Singh government was trying to dominate the state organisation and claimed that the government and organisation were working in tandem and maintaining coordination.
“The BJP is experiencing the best co-ordination between government and the organisation in Chhattisgarh. Even the national leadership appreciates this rapport and terms it an example to be followed,” he said.
Lauding the Chief Minister for boldly fighting Maoists with its limited resources, Nadda said the Centre, which had of late appreciated his demand to consider Naxalism as a national problem, should chalk out an integrated programme to tackle the menace.
“About 140 districts in eight states are reeling under Maoists problem and strategies cannot be framed at state level, but instead a national level strategy is required to wipe out the extremists,” he said.

Raipur, Aug 07, 2010

The BJP will win the Vidhan Sabha elections for the third consecutive time in Chhattisgarh, but the party workers would have increase their activities. The BJP’s general secretary and Chhattisgarh incharge Jagat Prakash Nadda expressed these words while addressing the BJP state unit’s office-bearers during the meeting that held at part office on Saturday. The party has prepared its next two months programs on Nadda’s instructions.
Nadda informed the office-bearers that BJP national president Nitin Gadkari would arrive Chhattisgarh on his two-day visit on September 4 and 5 and would interact with more than 10,000 party workers. Emphasising on workers’ training, he said such programme should be organised regularly from mandal to state level as it consolidates party cadre.
The training of party workers will begin from the second fortnight of August 2010. A team of senior party workers will be constituted to provide training. The team would first be given guidelines and significant inputs about training on August 19 during special training camp. The party will observe August 21 as ‘save Kashmir’ day while the meeting of the state’s working committee would be held on the following day.
Later, Nadda hold meeting of party legislators and ministers and took information about various projects and schemes of the government.
Earlier, Nadda also attended the party’s core group meeting which was again an introductory one, but the highlight was discussion on fast nomination of boards and corporations.
