The Raipur Municipal Corporation’s computerised revenue collection system will commence from Thursday. Urban Administration Minister Rajesh Munat will launch the new tax paying method at Axis bank’s Tatibandh branch in presence of Mayor Kiranmayi Nayak, Speaker Sanjay Shrivastava, Amit Das from RMC’s Revenue department and other municipal officials. RMC Commissioner Om Prakash Choudhary informed that from Thursday onwards, the people living within municipal periphery can pay their property tax through this computerised system from any of the branches of the Axis bank. Notably, the RMC has yet to collect over Rs 27 crore and with less than two months remaining in this fiscal, it is planning to press more staff for the purpose.
