On latter’s allegation that CM took decision on naxal issue keeping the party at bay

Finally, the Chief Minister Raman Singh has given indirect reply to Raipur parliamentarian Ramesh Bais that the government was sincerely doing job and so was the state BJP on the latter’s allegations that the CM had taken significant decision on naxal issue without taking the BJP core group into confidence. Singh’s reply came on Saturday while he was interacting with the media persons at Vidhan Sabha premises where he had reached to see the computer training programme organised for legislators.
Bais had recently complained to the party’s national president Nitin Gadkari that while framing anti-naxal policies and to launch operation against the Maoists, Singh neither consulted with the state unit’s core group nor with the party workers of Bastar and Sarguja who could have given important tips.
Opening the complaint box against the CM before Gadkari who had taken meeting of the state’s BJP parliamentarians, Bais had raised the issue of dominance of bureaucracy in Chhattisgarh. He said the CM was blindly following the formulas and strategies put forward by the bureaucrats and had no control over them.
In his response, Singh said he was not the party president and his responsibility was to run the government properly which he was attempting to discharge with sincerity. “It is the job of party president to create synchronisation between the government and the Organisation and since I am not holding this post, any further comments on this issue would be inappropriate,” he said. Singh added that he get several advices from the Organisation and always try to implement them considering their feasibility.
Notably, Bais has targeted the CM several times in the past and has expressed his displeasure on the functioning of the government. On various issues, he had bluntly criticised the government. He has maintained same aggressive attitude against the government in the core group meetings. However, he had been mollified by the party’s senior leaders whenever they apprehended that the comments of Bais would harm the party’s image.
