Urban Administration Minister Rajesh Munat has ordered suspension of two RMC officials holding them responsible for mismanagement of tribute programme that was organised on the death anniversary of Pt Deendayal Upadhyay at Telebandha Ring Road Chowk on Thursday.
The programme was organised by the RMC and Zone-4 Commissioner Vinod Devangan and Officer in-charge Culture, Tourism, Entertainment and Heritage department Dr Preetam Mishra were given responsibility to do the arrangements.
However, when Munat reached the spot, he saw garbage and junk items scattering at one corner while the chairs and tables were not clean. Later, when Chief Minister Raman Singh arrived to garland Upadhyay’s statue, the mike from the stage was missing.
Irked with these poor arrangements, Munat promptly directed RMC Commissioner Om Prakash Choudhary to suspend the two responsible officials. According to information, Choudhary had instructed his subordinates to type the suspension letter of the two officials.
The RMC Speaker Sanjay Shrivastava said he was not on the spot when Munat’s directives came against the two officials.
