RSU’s 16th convocation ceremony
Raipur, January 17, 2010
We were concerned that the country would be safe in hands of young generation or not but these youths who seemed living nonchalant life wearing t-shirt and jeans have proved how talented they are. I am sure the country will flourish in their hands. Chief Minister Raman Singh was speaking during the 16th convocation ceremony of Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (RSU) that held here at the varsity auditorium on Sunday.
He said the students who got gold medals and PhD had shown their mettle and hoped they would come out as victorious in their future too.
He said India had a rich past with education being its focal point. Exemplifying Nalanda and Takshila which were the temples of education in the ancient time, Singh said India had introduced science, maths, ayurveda and many more things to the Western countries and the erudite young generation would maintain its reputation in future. “I am sure the hard work of our talented progeny would one day cause reverse flow and instead of students from here going to abroad for higher studies, the students of Western countries would seek admission in the institutes of India,” said Singh.
